While interning at Swell Media Design, I full participated in the complete redesign of the main website for Verlaine & McCann, a theatrical burlesque company. The original WordPress website had too much content on the home page and pages did not feel cohesive. I assisted with every step of the redesign process, from researching new themes and creating page mock-ups, to laying out and styling pages in WordPress. In this process, I learned how to design for a client with a unique vision and balance that vision with user experience best practices. This project included a wide variety of content types, including video, photos, social media feeds and a blog.
